4. Tropical fruits

Another saturday spend at home but we wanted the kids to learn to appreciate different foods and not be scared to try them, so we headed to asda and had the kids pick out as many fruits as they wanted to try, we ended up with 2 types of melon, dragon fruit, sharon fruit, pomegranite and a coconut. It was fun watching the kids (and our) reaction to new fruit! Dragon fruit was a definite fav!

3. We're making bug soup

After a crazy few weeks we weren't entirely settled into our new house so we decided to spend a few weekends at home so we could get a few jobs done. So we headed out into the garden. Steve took the older two out back and they went exploring! They made a basin of bug soup and learnt all about the art of composting.

2. Leeds Castle

We were headed to Maidstone for the weekend as my best friend was having a gathering and we were throwing her a surprise baby "sprinkle". So we decided to head to leeds castle the place Steve and I had had our engagement pictures taken nearly 5 years previously! It was absolutely freezing but it wasn't raining so we loaded up the side by side and the baby carrier and started the epic walk towards the castle. Jensen insisted on being carried around the entire castle but they liked seeing where the king used to sleep. We headed towards the maze and play area and as we looked up noticed the blackest clouds moving quickly towards us, so we turned straight around and decided we were willing to pay the £1 to get us all back to the car park on the train :). We did manage to get a quick family picture before the downpour started!

1. Tiptree Jam museum

Seeing as we only moved into our new house on January 18th we decided to keep Saturday 25th January a little low key, we headed to Tiptree Jam Museum. We were expecting to actually see how jam was made or get to have testers so we were slightly underwhelmed by the room filled with jam making equipment! The kids seemed to enjoy picking out some jam pots and buying them with their own money! We also found some delicious cakes that we bought two of and they were amazing well worth the trip to tiptree! :)
